Thomas William Charlton
Thomas son of Kate and William Charlton was born in 1895. Soon after the outbreak of the first world war he enlisted in the 6th Batallion of the Border Regiment. He served in Gallipoli in 1914 where he was injured. After recovery he returned to his regiment in France on the western front. He was killed on 26/09/1916 on the push towards Schwaben Redoubt. He has no named grave but his name appears on the Theipval Memorial.
