Thomas Charlton, eldest of Edward and Hannah's children, married Arabella Warwick 16/12/1800 in Farlam. Following her death, he married Elizabeth Towers by licence on 22/10/1803 both in Farlam, Cumberland.

Thomas & Elizabeth produced  a son, Edward, baptised 29/10/1806 at Hayton by Brampton, Cumberland. At this time Thomas was a farmer at Greenwell, Cumberland.

Thomas & Elizabeth's second child was John, baptised at Farlam 19/11/1809. He died on 26/11/1846 and is interred at Farlam.

Thomas & Elizabeth's third child was Elizabeth 13/12/1812, baptised at Farlam. It is believed that she died on 22/03/1840 at William Gill, Clughead, Cumberland.

Thomas & Elizabeth's fourth child was  Mary, baptised 17/09/1815 also in Farlam, Cumberland.

Thomas died 6/11/1847 and is buried in Farlam, his abode was given as Ricklehill. His wife Elizabeth died in November 1850 and her abode was given as Silver Top. There are no stones for the Charlton family in the Farlam churchyard.
