John Charlton (1834-1914)
Following their move away from Croglin with their daughters Mary, Frances and Elizabeth, John and Ann settled in Upperby, Carlisle and produced a further four children, John b 1873, Margaret Jane b 1876 ,Thomas b 1881 and Ann b1882. John & Ann are interred in the churchyard of St. Ninians along with their children Margaret Jane who died on 8/07/1916 and Thomas who died 21/04/1948. Frances Charlton married John Hudson and Elizabeth Charlton married Thomas John Watters.
